The Junior Victory Trophy competition was held recently at Wigan Golf Club with seven local clubs taking part.
This prestigious event was won by Gathurst Golf Club and the team consisted of 8 players plus reserves with the top 5 scores counting towards the total for the Trophy.
Our top five players on the day were – George Unsworth, Sam Green, Alfie Mallalieu, Declan Kelman, and Alfie Green, with a cumulative score of 195 Stableford points which was enough to win the Best Nett Trophy.
The team also won the Best Gross Trophy with 105 Stableford points. The other members of the winning team, including reserves, were – Bradley Ainscough, Harrison Nelson, George Nichols, Oliver Blake, Oscar Halliday and James Makin – an excellent achievement by everyone.
The Junior section is run by Doug Pickering and his assistant Alan Kelman who are both extremely proud of the team’s achievement.
Well done!
