2023 Ins and Outs

The traditional Ins and Outs evening took place on Saturday the 7th of January.

After a hot-pot supper, Mike Shaw and Sue Mason presented their Captains’ Charity cheque for £4,743.74 to Lyndsey Butler, who received it on behalf of the Wigan and Leigh Hospice. A big thank you to the membership for their generosity.

This was followed by the OUT-going 2022 Captains and Presidents giving their farewell speeches, and welcoming IN the 2023 Captains and Presidents, who give their opening addresses.

The formalities closed with a presentation to Geoff Saunders in recognition of 50 years continuous membership of the club – what an achievement!

A Remarkable Fourball

On the day of this photo, a unique event occurred, it was the first time in the recorded history of the club that any male playing Member has reached the age of 90.

This regular fourball celebrated the occasion in a proper manner and hope to make it an annual event.

No names, no guessing, no prizes. Look at the weather!
